Митрополія запрошує складати пожертви до Гуманітарного Фонду Допомоги Україні
No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends (John 15:13).
Through the Ukrainians have united the world. Their sacrifice for freedom and God-given human dignity, their love for truth and social justice, and their heroic witness of fearless solidarity are inspiring people of good will globally. Millions of Ukrainian citizens are radically incarnating the Gospel virtues as they imitate Christ in the Way of the Cross on route to a victory over death in the Resurrection.
A democracy fighting for its life has demonstrated a new maturity and given new meaning and cohesion to a fragmented Europe. Ukraine’s valor is forging shared purpose in America.
People in the United States and throughout the world are generously contributing to the address the humanitarian catastrophe in Ukraine and helping the Church heal the traumas —personal and social, material and physical, spiritual and psychological —caused by a ruthless and lawless invasion and outright war crimes. We encourage you to join this movement of mercy, love, and service by donating to the Humanitarian Aid Fund of the Ukrainian Catholic Church in America.
Goal of the Humanitarian Aid Fund of the Ukrainian Catholic Church in America
100% of the funds donated to the Humanitarian Aid Fund of the Ukrainian Catholic Church in America, created by the Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Philadelphia, Eparchy of Stamford, Eparchy of Saint Nicholas in Chicago, and Eparchy of Saint Josaphat in Parma, will go to support humanitarian aid projects and organizations as well as suffering Church institutions in Ukraine. The Fund is addressing the catastrophe created by the invasion immediately as well as preparing to respond to the longer-term injury and damage generated by the war.
The Catholic Church is the largest non-governmental organization in the world. It has a long history of aiding war victims, the poor and refugees. In Ukraine it is one of the largest NGOs meeting the needs of the downtrodden and persecuted. On both the national level (e.g., Caritas Ukraine) and the local level (e.g., local eparchial and parochial Catholic Charities), Catholic institutions are some of the most reliable and effective institutions in serving people in Ukraine, embracing Catholics and non-Catholics alike — all people in need. The Church itself is also suffering grievous losses as priests, bishops, employees, families and others are injured, displaced and even killed.
The Ukrainian Catholic Church in America is firmly committed to transparency in the stewardship of these funds and to ensuring that this assistance reaches those truly in need.
A list of the organizations and their carefully screened projects supported by the Humanitarian Aid Fund will be published regularly as the monies are sent to Ukraine.
PLEASE BE GENEROUS!

Special appeal: Help the south of Ukraine!
On June 6th, 2023, the whole world was stunned by the Russian terroristic attack on the dam in Nova Kakhovka that led to a humanitarian disaster and ecocide in southern Ukraine. The magnitude of this violent act on the critical infrastructure led to the flooding of 77 villages and towns and a new wave of over 16,000 refugees from the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions; at least 12 people have died and 41 remain missing. Southern Ukraine is experiencing a serious shortage of drinking water resulting in a negative impact on the agricultural sector; industrial plants will need to significantly decrease operations due to the water shortage which could lead to employee layoffs.
The Metropolia Humanitarian Aid Fund has supported 82 initiatives in the amount of $6,866,845 since the full-scale Russian invasion. We have received urgent requests from the Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, Patriarch Sviatoslav, and Bishop of Odesa Exarchate, Most Rev. Mykhajlo Bubnij, to help the people affected by the destruction of the dam in Nova Kakhovka. A network of UGCC parishes in the Odesa exarchate, Mudra Sprava Foundation, and local Caritas divisions are providing emergency help to the victims of this tragedy and require our immediate assistance. There is a need for first-response support: bottled water, shelter, food, medicine, hygiene products, water pumps, boats, generators, logistic help, and psychological and spiritual assistance.
We ask for your generous support in this time of need for the people in southern Ukraine by donating to Metropolia Humanitarian Aid Fund for Ukraine.

Report No. 4 August, 20 2022

- виписати чек на “Ukrainian Catholic Archdiocese of Philadelphia” та вислати до канцелярії за адресою 810 North Franklin Street, Philadelphia PA 19123. Просимо написати на чеку “Humanitarian Aid Fund for Ukraine”;
- Коли отець-парох оголосить збірку в парафії, залишіть Вашу пожертву у парафіяльному кошику, яка потім буде передана до канцелярії в Філадельфії разом з іншими пожертвами;
- Ви можете пожертвувати на Інтернетній сторінці Філадельфійської Архиєпархії за посиланням – Пожертвувати через PAYPAL і вибрати “ДОПОМОГА ЖЕРТВАМ ВІЙНИ”;
